Actualmente la formación tiene seis aeronaves más una usada como reserva o para ofrecer vuelos a personalidades.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El equipo de divide en "el Diamante" (Blue Angels 1 a 4) y los Solos (Blue Angels 5 y 6). La mayoría de sus exhibiciones alternan entre acrobacias realizadas por el Diamante y aquellas efectuadas por los Solos. El Diamante en formación cerrada y normalmente a bajas velocidades, efectua maniobras como loopings en formación, toneles en formación y transiciones de una formación a otra. Mientras los Blue Angels 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 son pilotos de la Navy (Armada), el Blue Angels 4 está reservado para un piloto de los Marines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Los Solos normalmente realizan maniobras justo por debajo de la velocidad del sonido, las cuales muestran las capacidades de los F/A-18 Hornet mediante la ejecución de pasadas a alta y baja velocidad, toneles lentos y rápidos y virajes muy cerrados. El espectáculo permitirá a los guatemaltecos observar las maniobras que han dado fama mundial a los “Thunderbirds”, quienes rara vez actúan fuera de los Estados Unidos. Este show es muy popular en ese país y podrá ser apreciado por el público guatemalteco por una módica tarifa de admisión.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El equipo de los “Thunderbirds” se compone de 12 oficiales y más de cien personas que aseguran la logística y el mantenimiento. Su presentación en Guatemala es una muestra de agradecimiento al país por su cooperación con los Estados Unidos y por sus esfuerzos para intensificar las relaciones amistosas entre las fuerzas armadas de ambos países. Los “Thunderbirds” también se presentarán en octubre en el reconocido “Show Aéreo Ilopango 2005”, a realizarse en El Salvador, con la participación de pilotos nacionales e internacionales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Esta unidad oficial de demostración aérea de la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos nació en mayo de 1953 en la base aérea de Luke, Arizona, cuando la era del jet apenas comenzaba. El nombre fue adoptado rápidamente por la influencia de la herencia india en el sureste de los Estados Unidos, donde se localiza la base Luke. Según la leyenda, cuando el “thunderbird” subía a los cielos toda la tierra temblaba bajo el trueno de sus grandes alas y ningún hombre podía enfrentarse a su poder. El primer avión en el que volaron los “Thunderbirds” fue el F84G Thunderjet. De 1969 a 1974, volaron en aviones F-4 Phantom II. Este proyecto fue creado en 1983 y nombrado Eurofighter GmbH. Su diseño se parece al de otros aviones de combate moderno tales como el Dassault Rafale, de Francia, y el Saab JAS 39 Gripen, de Suecia. Debido a que tiene los mismos depósitos de combustible, pero menos pasajeros (124 en configuración de 2 clases), su alcance se ve aumentado hasta los 7.200 km, el mayor de su clase. Como el A320 posee mandos de control fly-by-wire.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;En 2003 easyJet compró A319 sin cocinas por lo que la capacidad aumenta hasta 156 pasajeros en 1 clase, pero para satisfacer las normas de evacuación se añadieron puertas de emergencia adicionales sobre las alas. Teniendo mejores metodos de evacuación rapida.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Usa los mismo motores que el A320. Alcanza velocidades de Mach 2 y está diseñado para llevar hasta 9.726 kg de armamento. Originalmente diseñado como avión de combate ligero, fue evolucionando hasta convertirse en un extraordinario cazabombardero todo tiempo. Una disposición típica en 3 clases acomoda a 416 pasajeros, mientras que una disposición de 2 clases acomoda un máximo de 524 pasajeros. El avion esta constituido por 2 pisos . Cada piso esta compuesto por secciones (de lujo)(economica) .
